| I spent several years as a Pontiac magazine editor, and the GTO has long been the definition of Pontiac performance. The 1970 GTO was nicknamed "The Humbler" in early model-year advertising, and this ground-pounding car cast a long shadow in the muscle car field. This painting is the first in a series depicting the Pontiac GTO from 1964 through 1974 and 2004. |
