I love the first-generation Corvettes. The 1958 model introduced quad headlights to augment the toothy grille, the graceful contrasting side coves, and the virtually perfect lines of the early Corvette bodywork. This example shows a one-year-only color for the first-generation cars: Silver Blue. The coves are silver. The backlighting in this painting serves to heighten the luminosity of the Silver Blue paint and I think it gives the car a lovely glow.
